A practice built on three foundations
I'm Ducasse, pianist, organist, composer, choir conductor and music educator. My work rests on performing with excellence, recording with creativity, and teaching with clarity.
I work across classical, jazz, gospel, pop and sacred music, as a soloist, accompanist, session musician, teacher and workshop leader, through Ducasse Music and my teaching brand, Ducasse Piano Lessons.
I learned music from childhood with local teachers, then studied jazz piano at Iarivo Art & Music Academy and majored in Music Composition at Anglican Music Institute Madagascar, alongside further online coursework, culminating in a Diploma in Music Education (Level 5) from the International School of Musicians London, Associate of the International School of Musicians, AISOM(Ed). I studied jazz harmony with Soo Jin Yoo, whose words you'll find among the testimonials below.
My masterclasses include Organ with Dong-ill Shin (2020), Choir Conducting with Daewon Lee (2023), and a Symposium on Choir Conducting and Composition with Simon Kim (2021). I was featured in Digital Reporter magazine (June 2024) as an official partner of the International School of Musicians London, as a jazz piano scholarship recipient.
I currently teach at Mahanaim International Music & Art Center and Lighthouse School, where I also conduct the Lighthouse School Choir.
